The Necromancer has been driven out of Dol Guldur, but the darkness still lingers over Mirkwood. It is a shadow
destined to grow ever larger in the years to come… unless a company of heroes steps forward
to repel the shadows.
Mirkwood is a complete campaign for Adventures in Middle-earth, set in the Greatest
of Forests over the course of thirty years and will allow you to tell your own epic saga. Following
the heroes in their adventures, you will see the years pass and unfold before your eyes.
This supplement contains enough material for many months of play, or even years; new rules
provide players with the tools to directly participate in the events occurring in the world that
surrounds them. The rules for the Properties will allow them to carve out a personal corner in Middle-Earth,
while they can track their progress through new activities to complete during the Company’s
Phases. Additional optional rules will allow your heroes to incorporate their backgrounds into the
Travel Events.
Spy on the Assembly of Spiders, confront the Nazgûl in battle, get involved in the affairs of the Sorcerers, and
enter the Halls of King Thranduil. Stand firm against the Shadow, and perhaps the darkness looming over Mirkwood
can be driven away. One mistake, one weakness, and all that you know and love will be lost.
